Dear Mr. Harris:

Prior to our purchase at Millville by the Sea, I have had three houses built. One was by a local builder in Northern Virginia, one by Ryan Homes and the last by Ryland Homes. I had prepared my wife for the usual lack of communication from the project manager, the lack of listening to the owner's ideas and desired changes, and the never ending punch list which is never resolved. As I hope you have heard from many new homeowners at Millville by the Sea after settlement was complete, not one of these past bad experiences surfaced as we dealt with Bill Davey.

At our first meeting with Bill, he explained his philosophy and management style going forward - it was clearly based on customer satisfaction doing the job right the first time and communication between us and him. This was the first project manager that I ever worked with that not only said this, but "walked-the-talk" through the design phase to shaking our hands at the end of walk through. Bill made himself available to us through cell phone, email and even changed his schedule to meet with us on two weekends, as we traveled from Northern Virginia and could not meet during his work week. Through the design phase, he had suggestions to certain items that he shared from changes that other clients had made and that were beneficial. We also had redesigned the kitchen and living area floor plan to which he was very accepting and even offered suggestions based on his experiences. At the framing walk through, he pointed out where Gulfstream Homes went above and beyond to deliver a well built home.

Having been a manager myself for 27 years, I recognize what traits a good supervisor must have to be respected and followed by their staff. Even though our time with Bill was limited over the past several months, the values and traits that we saw which he possessed were sincerity, honestly, communicative, ability to listen, deliver on his promises (and even over delivered!), made well informed decisions, punctual, kept commitment dates, and possesses a sense of humor. While we only saw him interact with a couple of contractors, if he didn't have all of the listed qualities, Gulfstream Homes would be able to deliver since a fantastic product at such a reasonable price and do so on time!

In closing, we can't say enough great things about Bill Davey. You are fortunate to have him on your staff and we only see continued success and accomplishment for Bill and Gulfstream Homes in the future. Please share this commendation with Bill and others
